Ferndale Electric has completed numerous projects at Royal Oak Campus, some of which are the Catherization Swing Lab, Renovations of the existing family birthing center, three new labor delivery rooms. Additionally, we have completed the New Master Plan Fire Alarm andPhase One site work for the New South Tower. Some of the more larger project are listed below:
- Surgical Learning Center - Design/Build Project for two training ORs, an autopsy room, associated classrooms, and prep rooms in the new 18,000 sq ft facility.
- Rose Cancer Center expansion, 62,000 sq. ft. four floor vertical expansion of existing cancer center two story building. Project involved the addition of five new operating rooms, ten infusion cubicles, installation of new lighting, power, communications, fire alarm on all floors.
- Replace four existing primary transformers in the powerhouse including replacement of existing switchgear, replace two existing generators with two 450Kw generators and associated transfer switches. Perform modifications to three other existing emergency generators to allow all five units to be paralleled together. Replacement of four PCB transformers and modifications to two existing substations.
- 1st floor renovation of hospital involving medical library, emergency room renovation, public waiting areas, and general rearrangement of first floor corridors.
- Replacement of (4) PCB transformers and modifications to (2) existing substations including the installation of new primary feeders.
- Design Build contract for modifications to existing emergency generators to allow all generators to be paralleled.
- Replacement of high voltage cables to basement substation.
- Miscellaneous projects direct for the Hospital ranging from service calls to performing emergency repairs including several small bid projects.
- Cardiac Cath Swing Lab 7 & 8. Addition of two new labs to the existing heart center.
- Family Birthing Center renovations on ninth floor.
- Renovation of class room’s, includes lighting and branch wiring.
- Install feeders for temporary chillers.
- Design-Build for Linen Storage Facility
