Detroit metropolitan airport north terminal redevelopment project.

Ferndale Electric Co., Inc. was awarded the Detroit Metropolitan Airport North Terminal Redevelopment Project Special Systems contract. The North Terminal Redevelopment (NTR) Projects was a planned 26-gate terminal complex designed to replace the airport's older Davey, Berry and Smith Terminal complex. The new facility encompasses 824,000 square feet and is about .75 miles in length or the equivalent of a 160 story building. There are over 150 communication cabinets distributed between more than 36 telecommunication rooms (Special Systems Rooms). It began in July of 2007 and runs through September 2008.
